Mostly Fantastic Me started as a bit of a quirk, really.
It began as a witty answer to a simple question: “How are you today?”
My reply was usually, “Mostly fantastic — you?”
It tended to stop people in their tracks. It shifted the tone immediately, turned small talk into an actual conversation. Almost without fail, the follow-up would come: “Wait… why only mostly?”
My answer was always some version of: “Leaving room for it to improve.”
Over time, people started remembering that phrase before anything else about me. Customers would call in and say things like, “Are you all the way fantastic yet, or still mostly?” And I loved that it became a shared language — a little moment of honesty and humour in an otherwise routine interaction.
What I love most about the idea of Mostly Fantastic is the message behind it. That not being perfect is okay. That being perfectly imperfect is what makes us human and unique. Leaving room for improvement simply means leaving room to evolve, grow, and change — without pressure or judgment.
That philosophy naturally found its way into what I make.
I started making my own skin balms over a decade ago, driven by a desire to know exactly what I was putting on (and into) my body. Over time, that curiosity turned into a passion for using natural, easily recognized ingredients and keeping formulations as wholesome and thoughtful as possible.
What began as something just for me eventually grew into something I wanted to share — with others who care about what they use, who value intention over perfection, and who appreciate products made with care.
Leaving room for improvement.
It’s what I love to do.
